Question

Traps by Palo Alto Antivirus

asked on September 24, 2019

We are experiencing an issue where users sometimes get a 780 code when opening images in Laserfiche Web Client or Windows Client.  If users were to copy the document and open it the images show up once until you either scroll to another page and try to go back or close the document and open it again.  We are running 10.4.1.  This happens on the Laserfiche server as well as clients.  I have opened a support ticket and we are looking at Antivirus Software.

My question is there anyone who uses Traps by Palo Alto who is having a similar issue?  If so what was your resolution?

The problem was resolved by a suggestion from Laserfiche Support likely nothing to do with Traps.  The customer was unwilling to allow us to change the antivirus.

Please have them run: netsh branchcache set service disabled -- in PowerShell or an elevated command prompt on the LFS machine.

Then restart LFS or reboot the server.

Thanks to John Lee.

Hi Scott,

I'm guessing if you disable the AV the issue goes away? Just to confirm it is actually that which is causing the issue?

Cheers!
