Single Sign On is only present in Directory Server, not License Manager, and SAML support through Directory Server (LFDS) was initially released in Directory Server 10.3. You can find out more about our Okta support in the whitepaper on SAML configuration for Okta.

I recommend using a more recent version if you are going to upgrade. We have some notable improvements to SAML support coming out before the end of this year.

Older versions of the products (like Server 9.2) can be licensed through newer versions Directory Server, but in most cases, you'll need at least version 10.2 for single sign on. I recommend matching the same version as Directory Server.
