i have a fairly simple form where there are fields that aren't required, but i'd like to highlight them in some way if they are null.

is there a simple solution for this?

You can use JavaScript to alert an end user during form completion.

Are the fields in a table or are they single line fields?

When should the end user be informed? (Example when they click submit, etc).
