I am trying to import files using Port CMIS Library. File importing successfully but I am unable to OCR the documents.

I am trying to import files using Port CMIS Library. File importing successfully but I am unable to OCR the documents. Please suggest any solution available for it.

Hi Ranjith,

Are you familiar with Laserfiche Distributed Computing Cluster (DCC) OCR? It is a service that can run asynchronous OCR jobs invoked by Laserfiche Workflow.

In your case, you would have the following flow:

  1. Import document via CMIS
  2. Have a workflow with a starting rule monitoring for new incoming documents
  3. Have that workflow invoke the Schedule OCR activity 
  4. Workflow will send the OCR job to the DCC Scheduler - when the job is complete your document will have OCR text
