Wondering if anyone else has run into this before!  A client has some historic documents that are dated December 30th 1899, but cannot add that as a date metadata field when using the full client.  I did a bit of testing and there are no issues using that date when using the web client or when using a date/time field.  I've attached a screen capture showing the issue.

I know that 12/30/1899 is the base date and I'm sure this is related to that- but it seems odd that it would work in the web client but not the full client.
