Workflow: Remove a non-template list field

Hi all,

I've found many threads on this topic but none that address the following point: how does one remove a non-template list field that does not contain a blank? The only ways I can think to do this is to create an empty token and push it into the field in the relevant activity or check the "Add blank to the list" box when configuring the field (this is suboptimal).

Thoughts?

Open the token dialog, and just delete the text/value. The "Field Value" drop down will still show a value, but it will show as blank in the top section and that will be the value that sticks if you click "Ok"

Blank fields not associated with a template are not sent back to the server. I'll file an enhancement request for the activity.

Could you clarify what you mean? I tested the process mentioned above and was successful in removing a non-template list field from the document.
