Question

Participants in an organization

asked on August 5, 2019

It appears as though if I assign participant licenses to an organization and assign a user a participant license and to that organization they are unable to log into the client.  If I move the participant licenses to the root and assign that user to the root, they can log in.  I assume this is because the server license is assigned to the Root organization.  It that correct?

Thanks

Hi Dylan,

Just stumbled upon this post and thought I would comment in case you (or anyone else) still have this question. At this time Laserfiche users must belong to the same organization as the one that licensed Server, or a child organization of that one (excluding children of Root), to login to the desktop client and admin console. So if LFS is licensed from Root, the LF user must be in Root. If LFS is licensed from Root>Org1, then the LF user can be in Root>Org1 or Root>Org1>SubOrg1 etc.
