Question

Can only see one group in Forms after switching to DS authentication

asked on August 2, 2019 Show version history

Forms can only see one of my groups called "Test", the one I entered into the configuration for access. As I create other groups, they are not showing up.

Here are my current groups

In forms only the Test group shows up

Have you added the groups in Forms Config?

what is your synchronization interval?  Are you running a synchronization in forms after adding the group in LFDS?

Oh, I will try this. I was thinking these were just the groups for allowing access to the product. I assume if I add them here I will be able to then use them as security groups within the product as well. Thanks!

Chad,

You can also nest the groups you want within another LFDS Group that has been given access as an alternative to listing all of the separate groups directly in Forms Config.

Any LFDS group, AD group, or user that is a member of the allowed LFDS group will also be imported into Forms, including nested groups.

For example,

I might create an LFDS group called "Forms Users" that has access to Forms,

Now if I go into LFDS and add the groups "HR Users" and "Fiscal Users" to the "Forms Users" groups, both groups, and their members, will appear in Forms.

If I add AD groups for Domain\Fiscal-Analyst and Domain\Fiscal-Manager to the Fiscal Users group, those would also become available in Forms.

The only exception might be AD groups nested inside other AD group, those users will get access, but I don't think AD groups will appear in Forms unless they are explicitly added to one of the LFDS groups (don't quote me on that).
