Question

Clarification on Workflow server and connection profiles

asked on July 30, 2019

Hello,

Could someone give me some clarifications on the correct use of the workflow server and the connection profile in Workflow?  I did some researches on LF Answers but it is still not 100% clear.

We have two workflow servers: Nomad (test environment) and Genisys (production environment). Genisys was our initial server then we created Nomad.

On Genisys, a workflow was created "Container loadout report export". When we set up Nomad, it was imported to it.

In the workflow, there are two connection Profiles: one for Nomad (repository OperationsTest) and one for Genisys(repository Operations) in the workflow server Nomad.

It does seem that it is not the optimal way of doing it, to juggle with a test and production connection profile in a test server.

Could someone shed light on it please? What are the best practises for it ?

Thanks !

The best way would be to change the connection profile when you import the workflow from one server to another.
