Does LF Services need to be re-installed to license with Rio?

A customer switched from Avante to Rio licensing, but the activation tool does not show an option to connect to Directory Server. I assume it is because they installed with the package labeled Avante.

Do we need to re-install everything with the package labeled Rio?

Can we do a straight upgrade with the Rio package?

What is the package with no name? There is a 10.4.1 Avante, 10.4.1 Rio, and just a 10.4.1

The activation tool is not used for activating Laserfiche products against LFDS.

You can generate the license from LFDS, download it, place in the Server's install folder and restart its service. You do not need to reinstall.

Can you point me to the link you found for Avante 10.4.1? There should only be Avante 10.4 (which does not include LFDS), Rio 10.4 and Laserfiche 10.4.1. There are no distinct packages for 10.4.1 (as we included LFDS, the difference between the 2 packages became neglijible and does not justify maintaining 2 separate packages).

Great! If we can manually hook Avante up to Rio using text files that will be a good alternative. Thanks for the heads up! I was seeing the 10.4 Rio and Avante, so that explains it. Having just one install going forward that could link to either will be simpler.
