Error with Retrieve Document Text :Array cannot be null. Parameter name: bytes

I am running a workflow with the very first task being to retrieve document text on the starting entry. The entry has pages and searchable text generated. The error is

 

Array cannot be null. Parameter name: bytes

 

I am running workflow on Laserfiche Cloud, the latest VAR Version.

You would have to check the individual field in your repository management page. The maximum length you can set for a text or list field is 4000 characters.

Please open a support case and provide the instance ID and the time when this error occurred.

I was able to get it working by putting the text into a multi-value token and using a for each value to run the rest of the processes. It was probably close to 20,000+ characters if that has any relevance.

What is the limit on a single Field?

Yes, the fix was deployed around November 2019.

Interesting, thanks Miruna. Our customer is seeing this error in LF11 in the web client update 8 when opening a document. I'll raise a support case. Cheers!

This was specific to Workflow in Laserfiche Cloud, so not the same issue.
