How to Code to use LFDS Login

asked on July 23, 2019 Show version history

Hi everyone,

In an environment where LFDS has been configured for authentication, MS Office integration launches a web page for authentication. Are there any samples on how I can write a login process to decide which authentication screen to provide and how make use of the STS service?

Hi Ben,

How do you have the repository attached in the Office integration?

Via Laserfiche Server directly or through web client?

Hi Samuel,

Through the Web Client.

When you mention the Office plugin, is that just an example of something you've seen that can integrate with LFDS, or is your question directly related to OP? Like, are you trying to write an unrelated integration that should be able to use LFDS authentication?

Hi Brian,

OP is just an example. In the first instance, the user has the option to select the repositories at a Web Client address (I didn't mention before, but would like to know how to do that) and later, when the connection expires, OP presents the Web STS.

Yes, I'm trying to write an unrelated integration that could use LFDS.

I have a customer that is wanting to write a web application that allows for login through LFDSSTS as well to leverage OAuth2 SAML authentication.  Is it possible to get an example with instructions of how to do this?

Hi Bert,

Documentation on how to integrate with the LFDSSTS login page is on our to-do list, but there is none available at this time.

Hi Brianna,

Is there any update regarding the integration with LFDSSTS login page? We have a client that requires this solution. Thanks

We have not yet added documentation for this functionality. It may be some time before it is ready, though this scenario is on our documentation backlog.
