Hyperlinks in PDFs don't work Desktop vs Web clients

asked on July 22, 2019

I have situation where the hyperlinks in PDFs don't work for users set to View access in the web client.  As an admin user, the hyperlink in the PDF works for me in the Web Client, but not in the desktop client.

My concern is being able to make that hyperlink useable for my View access users in the web client, so any help there is appreciated.  But I have to ask, why the difference between web and desktop clients?

Any differences are primarily due to the fundamentally different software packages used to implement the platforms. The Windows and web clients have almost nothing in common. That said, a quick search suggests that the library we use to render pdf in the browser does support this functionality and I hope it's not too difficult to enable on our side. I've filed this request with id 192417.

Hi Michelle, which version of the Web Client are you using? We're unable to reproduce in the latest released version, Web Client 10.4.1.35.
