Cannot enable automatic folder refresh

We are using the Windows client to interact with Laserfiche Cloud.

When we were using our older on-prem Avante system with the 9.2 client, folders would automatically update, but I cannot seem to get this working with either the 10.3.1 or 10.4 client - in both cases, the "Refresh folders automatically" option in Tools -> Options -> Settings is grayed out.

 

How do we enable this?

This feature is not available in the Laserfiche Cloud when using the desktop client.

Out of curiousity, are you using the desktop client because that's what your users are used to or is there some functionality you're missing in the web client?

Our users are used to the desktop client (we just migrated to Laserfiche Cloud). Moving to the web client is in our future, especially as we begin to use Forms, but right now we are just trying to get everything running smoothly again after the migration.
