We use UltiPro and have integrated with some Laserfiche solutions. We are not using APIs for this, however. Instead our developers created a system that runs reports and loads the results into database tables. These tables then mirror the state of the UltiPro database as of a fairly recent time. If I remember right, data is refreshed every two hours.

Our needs were for extensive read access to various items tracked in Ulti, especially employees, but we didn't need to our applications to initiate transactions in UltiPro.

Hi Timothy.

Question regarding UltiPro I hope you may know the answer to.
We have a customer that had UtiliPro export their HR records for them and provided it as a SQL DB. In the DB are thousands records of the data they added, but their should also be thousands of attachments (originally PDF, JPG, tif) files they uploaded. from the SIZE of the SQL DB it seems way to small to actually have any of the images.

Do you know if UtiliPro stores their attachments within the DB or as separate image files with pointers from the DB?

The client fears UtiliPro didn't provide them any of their attachments and may have deleted those records after exporting their SQL DB.

We are trying to assist with uploading the attachments from the SQL DB, but are fairly certain they don't exist.

No, I don't know anything about how Ulti works with images. We worked entirely with regular relational data and we created our export by running Ulti reports and then parsing the output to extract the data, so none of our team has information about Ulti's own storage architecture.

We use LF exclusively for document storage, using Connector to make it available to Ulti users.

Best wishes!

Thanks Timothy for the reply. The client we're working with is re-engaging their UtiliPro resource to request access to the attachments. Sadly they did not already have laserfiche to use in the way you have else it would have been a much easier process for them.
