Question

the current license has been revoked

asked on July 17, 2019 Show version history

Our deputy CIO was under the impression that the Laserfiche license was for support only.  The license is expired and clients are unable to attach the repository.  Does the LFS service get locked when the license is expired?

Laserfiche products have licenses. Customers get permanent licenses (except for the subscription setup which is not your case). Laserfiche also offers a software assurance plan ('LSAP') for access to tech support. Once the LSAP expires, you can't get access to Tech Support until it's renewed. But the license should not be expiring. Customers with expired LSAP are also not entitled to free upgrades to versions higher than the one they were on when their LSAP expired.

Our records show a successful server license activation this morning. Did you put the license in the Server's install folder (by default, <Program Files>\Laserfiche\Server) and restart the service?
