Template Options on Web Client Import Dialog

asked on July 17, 2019 Show version history

Hi all,

We've just been reviewing the Web Client's import dialog with one of our clients and having looked at it, it's not particularly easy to use. The main issue being that the "Template" option appears both on the "General" tab and the "Fields" tab.

If you change the template on the "General" tab to a template containing required fields, the "Import" button becomes greyed out, as there are required fields missing - which you have to open the "Fields" tab to fill out.

This isn't very obvious to new users however, could you remove the "Template" option on the "General" tab, or if a template is applied on the "General" tab change the "Import" button to "Next" to take the user to the fields tab?

On a similar note, is it possible to default the import dialog to open on the "Fields" tab or remember the tab from the last import like the Windows Client does?

Thanks in advance!

Dan
