Thanks to Xiuhong Xiang I know we can go in to the awesomplete js file and change the lookup filter from CONTAINS to STARTSWITH (see this post) but it would be nice if we were able to set it on a lookup by lookup basis as some forms we want it to match contains and some we want it to match from beginning. I actually have a form where it would be nice if one field could match contains and one could match from beginning due to the nature of the data that is being populated by the lookup.
