Is there a way, native to Laserfiche Forms, to allow the user to type in the drop-down field and have it narrow the drop-down choices to those that match the text wherever it happens to be in the value instead of just from the beginning? Sometimes they can't remember what the name started with and it would be helpful for long drop-down lists if they didn't have to scroll through everything.

I don't know of a way to do it with the native drop down field, but if you set a no-condition lookup on a single line field and store the values in a data source it will behave in a similar way (I use this a lot).
Now that won't prevent free form entry like a drop down does, but if create a second field that does a lookup based on their entry, you can use that to verify the pick one of the available options.
I set up a single line field that the user can type in that is used for a stored procedure that does a "like" lookup to populate the drop-down field that they finalize their select from. Basically a "search" field. I will try your suggestion though as it seems more straightforward and easier for the end user. Thank you!
Your suggestion worked great - thanks!!!!
