does anyone know if there is a youtube video on LF web portal? Considering purchasing it but want to actually see if it is worth spending the $$ or if it would be better to have something added by the website developer

Are you referring to WebLink or a public Forms portal?
I think web portal, but I'm really not sure if that is what is needed or Web Link?
What the outcome would be is for our members to log in from the external company website and be able to view (read only) specific content stored in laserfiche without having to be onsite or without having login access to the company server.
If all you want them to do is to be able to view documents, then you can use WebLink, which doesn't require a login. From the LF Admin Guide:
"Laserfiche WebLink is a user-friendly public portal site for providing read-only Internet access to documents. It can be configured to show searches and links that quickly guide users to what they are looking for. It also can display a visual style that matches your existing Web site."
Here's a video from our VAR, CDI showing how to build WebLink search forms.
If you want to try it out yourself, let me know and I can provide a link to my agency's public portal.
Thanks,
Michael
thank you that was extremely helpful I think weblink is the way to go. Do you know if there can be a login to limit who has access? We want only members to view from our external public website but not the general public
Michael if you could forward the link to your agencys public portal would be appreciated.
You're quite welcome.
With the public portal, I don't believe you can configure a login to limit access. For that you would need Laserfiche Web Access.
