Error deleting a document after upgrade to 10.4.1

asked on June 19, 2019

I upgraded a client yesterday to Avante 10.4.1. Today they were trying to delete a document in a record folder that they uploaded twice by mistake. When the try, they receive the error "A request to move, delete, or modify a record was blocked because the record is cutoff, in retention, has undergone final disposition, or the parent folder is closed". None of these seem to be the case. However, I noticed that the "Designate document as permanent" was checked. So, I unchecked that box several folders up the directory tree (where it originated), and made sure I selected to "Apply changes to all child folders and documents". I have verified that this box is not check all the way down the tree back to the document. I have verified that the user's effective rights allow them to delete. But I am still getting the error. They claim to have been able to delete from this folder prior to the upgrade. However, there are other folders that don't have this checked so I don't think it was related to the update. But, I still need to figure out why it is happening so they can delete documents within this folder.

Hello Keith,

Did  you ever find a resolution to this?

We have a customer that was just updated to 10.4.1 and seeing the same issue.

Thanks,

Jeff Curtis

Hey Jeff,

It is a bug. There is still a ticket in with the LF developers.

Hello,

Was there ever a resolution for this error? A customer is reporting this same error and I don't see any documentation on the error code.
