Hello, we have a windows server with IIS 8+ running Laserfiche Server Suite 10.3 and Laserfiche Weblink 10.1. Currently everything works fine but users access the public-facing weblink via an unsecure http link. I was hoping to make our public users access weblink via a secure https link. I understand how to obtain a certificate from a public CA and bind the cert to the site in IIS but are there any changes I need to make to laserfiche? Like registry settings or anything? I just don't want to break the whole thing. Thanks.

If you are only worried about encrypted traffic from the web server to the user, it is as simple as just adding the Microsoft IIS bindings the way you would do any other site.
If you want it encrypted from the web server to the Laserfiche server it can be more involved
Thank you John. IIS is installed on the same server as LF server and LF weblink. I'll give the IIS cert/binding a shot. Thanks again.
Hey Dan,
I know this post was created a while ago, but were you successful by simply binding the cert to the IIS Server? Did you encounter any issues on the public Weblink after you did so?
yes, no issues, it worked ok just doing basic IIS https.
There are no changes to WebLink configuration required, it's all handled by IIS. Just start using https urls.
