Question

View Document Options on the WebLink Designer

asked on June 12, 2019 Show version history

Is there a "View Document Options" button on the WebLink Designer to uncheck "Open in the Laserfiche WebLink Document Viewer"? This is currently under the My WebLink but I need to be able to have this set in the background rather than having the individual user set this.

Thank you.

I think I found the answer to my own question - its in the Public User Designer Tab.

I think what I need to know is - can this be set in the background instead of the My Public Portal? We have too many users who will not be trained on how to do this?

View Document Options

Click the My Public Portal link and click the View Document Options tab to specify how to view documents.

In the Open in the Laserfiche WebLink Document Viewer section, you can specify whether to open PDF files and other electronic document types in the Document Viewer. If you select this option and the electronic documents have image pages, the image pages will be displayed in the Document Viewer. If they do not, PDFs will display in the Document Viewer; other electronic files will display their metadata and text but not the file itself. If this option is cleared, the PDFs or other electronic document types will download, to be opened in their native application.

It definitely happens when there is more than 1 page in the Laserfiche WebLink Document Viewer.
