Question

Web Client not loading after LFDS relocation

asked on June 10, 2019

Hi,

We've migrated LFDS to a different server and most apps (Forms etc) seem to work OK.

However, we have an instance of Web Client in the UAT environment that no longer loads ("An error occurred" shows in the browser). I've updated the endpoint but I notice that when I try to load the Web Client page, or the Web Client config page, it is still trying to reference the old server name, not the new one. Is there somewhere else this needs to be updated? The license file has been updated and transferred and the services have been restarted.

Web Access stores the LFDS information in its WebAccessConfig.xml file.

I'm not sure, but have you tried executing a Refresh in IIS?

Check your web.config file usually located in c:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Web Access\Web Files (on your server that you've installed the Web Client server).  It may still refer to your old LFDS instance.

I've tried an iisreset and checked the web config file but no joy. I noticed that the endpoint utility does update that config file, which references the new server but I still see the old server name when Web client tries to authenticate to the STS site.

It's an odd one, I'll have a closer look when I'm back in the office tomorrow.
