Is it possible to allow a user to generate/download a PDF of a draft form?
Question
Question
Answer
Open up the completed task, open task or draft and there should be a printer icon in the toolbar.
Thanks Jared. That is exactly where I was thinking that is should be. However it isn’t showing up. I’m definitely running 10.4.1 and even created a new process. There are no errors on the page. Anything else that I can check?
Never mind. I discovered that the print button is there, just the icon is not showing. It appears to be related to my Chrome cache. I've tried it in another browser and works as expected. Stupid Chrome, it's caching is getting out of control and making it difficult to develop in.
With regards to drafts, i'm not seeing this anymore. A process has come up where I could really use the ability to cleanly print a draft from a message start event. I do see it if it's a task assigned to a user. I'm looking for this functionality from starting a process or while starting event is saved as a draft. I am logged in and not anoymous, but think that might be tied to starting event versus user task. I'm in forms 11.0.2212.30987

It will be in Forms 10.4.1. We are adding a feature to be able to print any form, whether it's in-progress, a draft, or completed.
That is great. I doesn't help me out of my current bind which needs to be completed by next week, but is great nonetheless!
I've come across and issue that is not solved by the new print functionality. I have a form that was developed with pagination. When using the browser print functionality it will only print page 1. I need to be able to create a PDF of all pages in the form. Any ideas?
We will take a look. Printing the form should work through Forms pagination.
If you save this form to the repository (with or without the option to remove page breaks from saved forms), do you get the full form?
Using the "Save to Repository Service" task does successfully save the full form with all fields included.
After checking back in with the team, the browser's Print function only prints the visible HTML (what you see on a given page). It cannot regenerate the form without pages then print that. You would have to print each page of the form.
Thanks for looking into this Jared. I understand the answer. It would be nice if Laserfiche came up with another printing method in the future that accounted for this lack of functionality.
According to the List of Changes for Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1:
"Laserfiche Forms 10.4.1 introduces the following new features.
Printing Forms from a User Task
When viewing tasks, you now have the option to print the form. Use the Print button in the toolbar to bring up the web browser's Print window."
I've upgraded my development Forms server to 10.4.1, but I still don't see an option for printing forms from a user task. Where am I supposed to see this option?
