Display Options in Web Client 10.4

asked on June 7, 2019 Show version history

Hey folks,

We are currently testing LF 10.4 Web Client and one of our user asked us how we can enable Display Options in 10.4. I am attaching a picture showing how it looked in 10.3 as it has the drop down for Display Options. I do see some of these tools that are in Display Options on the toolbar in 10.4 but not all of them. Is this a new change to 10.4 or do I need to enable this feature somewhere? Thanks for your help.

Miruna, one of my co-workers is familiar with the application and he found that the Distributed Computing Cluster was not installed and setup. After doing this the Generate Searchable Text button appeared. I appreciate the help you provided. Have a great weekend!

Your second screenshot is from the document viewer (not the folder browser), but you are right, we have made some changes to 10.4 to move these tools closer to where the user needs them and expects to find them.

For sorting columns, you can just click the header.

The rest were less widely used so they are in the Options page which can be accessed from the menu off the username in the top right corner.

Hi Miruna, thank you very much for the quick response! Sorry, yes I did take a screenshot from the folder view for speed sake. The specific item she is trying to find is the OCR text option which she is not finding.

Also, when we try to add the Generate Searchable Text button to the Document Viewer toolbar, it doesn't show up but all the other buttons I add show up. Is that a setting I need to change on the server side? Not sure if this is related to the issue of not finding the "text" option.

I was wondering if I should've mentioned those changes too. Those options have been combined into a button that will cycle through possible layouts.
