Autosave with local documents

We have noticed an interesting behavior editing local documents when the Laserfiche toolbar is installed in Word (2013 or 2016).  With Autosave enabled (we set the interval to 1 min to test), if you create a new local document outside of laserfiche, and start working on it, after the autosave interval (1 min in this case) expires and the document will start auto saving as a temp file.  If i then click on the X (simulating a user clicking it by mistake) the document will close without asking to save (or giving the option to cancel) as well the temp document that auto save was creating disappears.

 

We tried uninstalling laserfiche from the client and autosave and the X button works properly.

 

Is there some setting in laserfiche causing this?  Or would this be a bug?

Did you ever find anything about this? I am seeing the same issue in LF Client 10.2.1 where the X button automatically saves and closes, without asking whether to save.

 

I am seeing this setting in Options that appears to resolve the issue:
