Question

How could I get Form history, when "save to laserfiche", at bottom in place of the top

asked on June 4, 2019

Old version of Forms put the Forms Action History at the bottom, but now it is at the Top.

how can I get Forms 10, when save in Laserfiche, to put the Forms Action history at the botom of the saved form?

It could be nice to have this Location choice in the Save to laserfiche forms activity as a new feature request

It's an extra step in a workflow, but it is an easy one.  Move Pages Activity in Workflow.

Action: Move Pages

Move pages from * Starting Entry

Move pages to * Starting Entry

Page Range * Pages 1 (all of mine have only been 1 page)

Insert Pages * After last page.

Yes I alrady thought about this process but the issue is sometimes, the hystory can take 2 page and I do not see how can I find how many page I have to move

Katy,

I have tried this, but it moves the thumbnail and not the actual page.  The Action history shows in the thumbnails to be the last page, but is still showing as the first page when the document is opened.  Strange, any ideas why this would be anyone?

I'm getting an error message in Forms when I run this workflow (see below). It's saying "no entry specified," but I've specified the "Move Pages From" and "Move Pages To" actions as "Starting Entry" just as you indicated. Any idea what might be wrong here?

Bryan, if you are running the workflow from forms there is no starting entry.  A document/file must be saved into the repository for it to have a starting entry.

Katy, yes I'm using Forms to kick off this Workflow. So...do I uncheck the "Starting Entry" box in the "General" tab of the workflow properties window?

...but...the form is saved to the repository before the workflow starts, so "yes" I'm kicking off the workflow from forms, but also "yes" I'm asking workflow to take the form saved in the repository and move the Action History page to the last page.

Should I have this workflow run before the form is saved into the repository?

I believe the move pages only works with documents in the repository.  So if your document isn't in the repository, there aren't any pages in it to move.  You would need to have the workflow select the document in the repository.

OK, so I'd need to have a Search Repository activity upstream from the Move Pages activity to tell the Move Pages activity which file to move pages within?

Am I understanding that correctly?

If I understand what you are saying.  The activity that identifies the file needs to be before the move pages activity.

Hi, we now support more flexible save location for action history: at the end of the form or save as a separate document on Forms 11 Update 4.
