We see request like this all the time where Customers are looking for their users to be Full Users, Contributors (Word, Email) and Read-only.
ie: Requires 30 power users, 400 contributors and 400 read-only personnel:
The challenge we have competing with this is that the 400 contributors for MS products and Emails have to be full named users to be able to upload a document to the repository with Metadata.
We've heard the case to create a Form for upload but that doesn't have any integration for MS products as the files have to be saved locally and then attached for upload. Also, we hear to use Import Agent, but there is no built in feature for the user to add their own metadata when they save or drop the file into the folder and again those files have to be saved locally first.
What makes the most sense to me would be to have a low cost or Contributor license for people to be able to add content to Laserfiche. The easier we make it for Laserfiche to become the central repository for the customer, the stickier it becomes and also the central platform for the organization which should driver expansion and additional PS.
