Question

Unable to log into Forms DMZ Config Page

asked on May 28, 2019

Hello,

We have a customer who is having an issue with Forms that are submitted via their Portal, not routing via the Email Task.

We think the issue is with the Email Settings in Forms Config, but customer is unable to log into their Forms Config page on the DMZ server.

They have tried their Domain Admin, Local Admin, Forms account and we are getting 401 Unauthorized access.

IIS is set to Windows Auth. Tried to change it to Anonymous Auth. and no luck.

Since it is the DMZ server, Forms Routing is turned off. Do we need to start that service in order to access the Config page?

Thanks for the help,

Jeff Curtis

Hi Jeff,

You have to have Windows Authentication for FormsConfig in IIS.  I'm not sure what your settings are in the FormsAppPool but I'll tell what I think will help.

Highlight the FormsAppPool and on the left go to Advanced Settings

Under Process Model click the ellipsis and use a custom account instead of the Built-in account

Click on Set...

And put in an admin account - User name and password

Next, recycle IIS by right-clicking on the FormsAppPool or you can stop and start.

Now see if you are able to get FormsConfig up.

Hey Linda,

Sorry for the delayed response- Still did not work, even after changing the creds.

I am wondering if there is something in the Web Config for this.

Yes, I believe you're correct. I would go through the DMZ whitepaper and look at each  Web.config file on the DMZ server to see where the issue is at.
