Where are user attributes stored?

asked on May 24, 2019 Show version history

I am working on configuring Laserfiche desktop clients for use with VMWare desktops.  I created a new testing user and imported my standard attributes file.  When I launched the test desktop and logged in as my test user, all of the settings were configured for a default Laserfiche client installation (which was what the VMWare guys captured).  If the attributes were stored in the Laserfiche DB then they should have taken effect when the user first logged in.  If the attributes are stored as registry information then I should see the default configuration at startup (which seems to be what I'm seeing).  However, upon examination of the registry I can't find anything that looks like the configured attributes (after I changed them on the client and re-tried to capture them by exporting the registry).

Can anyone tell me where the attributes are stored and perhaps give me a hint as to why they don't seem to be getting applied on the VMWare desktop?

TIA, Jim.

The trustee attributes are stored in the trustee_attr SQL table. If you import your attributes into the user via the admin console, they should take effect the next time the user signs in.  A small subset of options are stored in the registry (last repository/username, some toolbar configuration), is that what you are trying to configure on the user?

Well either your definitive statement reified reality, or I'm just prematurely brain dead going into the long weekend.  I reinitialized everything and retested.  everything worked as expected.  Thanks.
