Question

Laserfiche and Java

asked on May 22, 2019

I have a customer with a question:

As Oracle JDK licensing changes (or already did), I wonder if any Laserfiche product requires any Java product.
We are currently using the followings:
-          Rio 10.3.1 Server, Client, Admin Console

-          Web Client

-          Public Portal

-          Forms

-          Workflow

-          Import Agent

-          Directory Server

-          Audit Trail

Could you please let me know if we need Oracle JDK license for any of LF product listed above?

As far as I know, the only component that requires the Oracle JDK is the Java SDK. Laserfiche seems to be mostly .NET-based, with some JavaScript/JQuery in the web-based applications.

None of the products listed above use Java. The prerequisites for any Laserfiche product can be found in the readme file in the installer.
