How can i change a bulk of folders default volume setting as fast as possible.

My customer need to change a Department folder's volume to a new storage for saving NEW create document and NEW folder.
No need to migrate the old files and there are more than 1K subfolders in this Department folder.

How can I do it with workflow ?

If the existing volume is a logical volume, you can change the definitions of the parent logical volume to the new locations and then future child volumes will use that new location while existing volumes will be unchanged. That way you wouldn't have to change any entry properties directly and just rely on the remapping for the new rollover volume
