The short answer is no, we don't have a policy of vetting individual patches for compatibility.  We do use Laserfiche internally and our IT staff does keep those servers current with their updates, so if there is a problem we will become aware of it in short order.  That covers only a single environment, when in reality our users run our software on a wide variety of OSes and configurations.

It does occasionally happen that there is a problem with a Microsoft patch.  I think I recall something with a .Net update last year.  In that case, it is usually reported and discussed on these forums (though I can't find links to what I'm thinking of) rather than via an "official" announcement.
