Search Recycle Bin by User

Unless I'm missing it, is there a way for an admin to search the Recycle Bin for all files deleted by a specific user? I can search for deleted files and then sort by who deleted them. However, it would be easier to search by a given user.

You can see deleted documents broken down by user in the Admin Console.

Hey, Michael,

I don't think you are missing anything. The Recycle Bin search dialog seems to only have Created by, Modified by, and Owned by.

Is the admin trying to do this action on a regular basis? It sounds like the use-case for your admin would best be served by Audit Trail if they are trying to investigate/monitor/report on user activity in the repository.

Hi Alex,

Yes, it's the Admin, which in this case, is me. I've run into this before when looking for files deleted by specific users. This time I'm trying to find my own deleted files. Any way we can add this as a suggested feature enhancement?

Ah, I see. The privileged ability to view all recycle bin activity in the repository has come at the cost of cluttering up the listing when you want to view your own items.

We can look into adding a User specific search, but that might still be a pain for you to run a search each time you just want to view your own deleted content. We can work with our User Experience team to find the best solution. Perhaps a toggle for a "personal" view of the recycle bin. Thanks for pointing this out!
