Hi,
We are facing a strange issue of documents corruption stored in encrypted volume. After getting the complaint from customer, we have reproduced the issue with simple steps in LF 10.3/10.4. It doesn't seem to be normal. I have attached the sample files to perform the scenario. In Laserfiche client, do the following.
- Import "Ashley Applicant Certification.png" (attached), choose Encrypted volume to store the document. Document will be imported and view-able.
- Import "Ashley Applicant Certification.jpg" (attached) on the same location where previous file was imported and overwrite it. Opening a document will show error in the viewer area "The encrypted file is corrupted. [9318]".
Second case is with word document. Do the following with word document in LF Client.
- Import "license.doc" (attached), choose Encrypted volume to store the document.
- Open the document by double clicking, Office Word should open to edit the document (using LF Office plugin).
- Remove the whole text from the last page and save the document overwriting on existing document. Error message would appear "The encrypted file is corrupt. [9318]" and now the file is corrupted.
What is happening in Laserfiche with encrypted volumes?
We have tried the same scenario in Laserfiche 10.2 with encrypted volumes and everything is fine. Documents are not getting corrupted.
