Question

Public Portal

asked on May 10, 2019

We are getting ready for our install and configure of Web Link. I have 2 questions:

1. When granting access to those using the Public Portal License - can you give them read only and also deny them access to be able to drop and drag the record out of the folder?

2. If a Public Portal User has access to a folder; can it be limited to certain records within the folder? Are there additional steps to make this work (tags)?

I think I already know the answers but I need clarification - thank you!

Weblink is read only access. In order to edit records you will need to use web access.

2. If a Public Portal User has access to a folder; can it be limited to certain records within the folder? Are there additional steps to make this work (tags)?

Yes, security tags will solve this problem. if you are using workflow can have the WF assign the tags automatically.

Weblink is read only.

If the user has access to a document the user will see it unless access is restricted such as with security tags.
