Question

Exporting a Tiff from 10.4 the Creation date is incorrect

asked on May 10, 2019

Hi Guys

When exporting a Tiff from Laserfiche the creation date in the file properties is incorrect, this usually displays as the 1st January 1601. This is consistent, however it can change from 1601 to 2309 every now and then.

Has anyone found a way around this, as changing the download options in the client do not have any difference when exporting, the creation date is always incorrect.

This is not a Laserfiche issue. Windows handles reading/setting the creation date for files.

Hey Miruna,

It's a bit odd this, I've done some testing with this also.

It works fine when exporting electronic files, in that the creation date is the day you export, however when exporting TIF files as TIF's or converting them to PDF seems to have some really strange results, with what seems to be random creation dates.

Just doing a quick test:-

Converting the SAMPLE4.TIF to a PDF

Same document as a TIF:-

Interestingly, this issue only happens with drag and drop. File>Download>Images works correctly and populates todays date as the windows creation date.

Strange....

Hm, I can reproduce it. Let me look into it some more.

We have also identified that If you go to File>Download>Images then the creation date is correct.

Ok, I take it back, it might be a Laserfiche issue. We'll look into it. Bug reference ID 152202.
