HI,

This is a very basic question, but my company is new to Laserfiche. In regards to viewing documents (Word/Excel) in the window pane of Laserfiche, I consistently get a "This document contains no pages" or "page contains no image" error. I'm only able to view PDFs in Laserfiche. Is there a way to view a document in Laserfiche, without having to open up the document in it's own platform (Word/Excel)?

I do not believe you can currently view word/excel documents in the document viewer. I have always seen and been told they will open in their native platform

The Laserfiche 10.4 release added the "Laserfiche Document Preview Service" to the web client.

...allows you to display Microsoft Office documents directly in the document viewer or the folder browser preview pane without needing an Office Online installation or account. This allows users to easily view their documents without needing to download them or use the Office Integration.

As implied by those release notes, there was an integration that supported displaying office documents such as Word in an earlier release of the webclient, but only if you had an Office Online installation/account.
