Using Collections in Forms to create multiple documents in Repo

asked on May 2, 2019

Hi, I'm using Forms & Workflow to create repository items en-masse in laserfiche. Our clients have a spreadsheet full of line values (from a system freeze) they're eager to copy-pasta in to the form to create the entries.

We've set the form up as 'collections' where each collection has all the metadata fields required for the template being used, and the idea was then to iterate through each of the rows in the collection and use the data in each row to create separate entries. However it only seems to recognise the first part of the collection when creating and assigning the meta data, ignoring the following rows. Is there something I need to do to tell it to move on to the next row of the collection or can collections not be used like this?

Hi Chris,

Your general activity layout looks correct here. To confirm, is the issue that it's only using metadata from the first collection row?

I'd double check that you have your activities pointed at the correct entries/data sources since the general sequence of your workflow looks good.
