Just wondering if anyone ever try Time Management with Forms & SQL or any other way?

The idea would be to have Team enter their desired holidays or training requested & showing automatically days busy or free based on how many people can be not absent on a given day... also approval from manager if the request is accepted & to show a sort of dashboard for manager to see how the days look like?
