I have a case where "Rename" is granted to a group as an entry access right on a document, but the user gets an "Access Denied" message when they try to rename it.

The group has not been granted or denied any access rights in the folder where the document is located. Documents are filed in the record series folders and shortcuts are shared with users through shortcuts in folders outside of the record series.

Workflow assigns the following rights on the document that resides in the Record Series:

The group is only able to open the file by searching or opening a shortcut shared with them through a folder outside of the Record Series.

When they open the document and try to rename it (in either the windows client or the web client), they get the following message:

When I look at the Entry Access Rights of the document they are trying the rename, they look as follows:

They have not been granted or denied any access rights in the folder where the document is located.
Would this conflict with the access rights of the document for the purpose of renaming?

Renaming is the only entry access right that does not work when assigned in this way.

Thank you in advance! Any insight would be helpful.

Best,

Stephanie
