Version 7.2.1 Column Customization after search and delayed (slow search results)

We are currently using an older version of Laserfiche (version 7.2.1) and are experiencing some delayed search results when we do a search. We have tried to modify the search columns, but that seems to get reset every time we exit Laserfiche and reload it. I believe it is pulling the search columns from the templates. Also, the results take a while to display on the left column after the search completes as well. We were hoping someone would give us some insight on how to modify the columns.

 

We plan on upgrading in the near future, but we would like to get this issue resolved.

If there is an issue with saving column settings for a specific user, then you should access LF Admin Console> Find the user account> Attributes. You can start by removing all of the users attributes related to "columns". Try saving the columns again in the user's account in the repository. If that does not work, remove all of the attributes under the users account and then it should save. Sometimes the attributes get a bit out of wonk.

Brandon,

There is no user attributes tab. We are on version 7.2.1. Is this something associated with another version or what might be the reason for missing this tab under the user properties?

We don't have that many customers on version 7.2.1 anymore, but I believe there should be an attributes tab in the user's account in the admin console. I would have your VAR open a support case to confirm where the attribute tab resides in 7.2.1 for each user account. I am now unsure if that tab does reside in LF 7. There is no known issue in 7.2.1 regarding this, but typically when this occurs in version 8,9,10, the attributes are usually the culprit. Here is a list of all known issues in 7.2.1.
