build workflow step by step

The difficulty in creating a "step-by-step" is that there are an infinite number of variations as far as what activities you use and the order in which they occur.

The "core" element is to establish your connection profile (the server, repository, username, and password) workflow will use for the workflow tasks.

Once you have that, figure out a general flow (sometimes I just sketch it out on paper) then use the user guide to figure out what activities do what you need and add them piece by piece.

Usually I will build the workflow out in sections then publish and test each "section" as I go to make sure it is working as expected before I add the next piece.

We have the sketch out on paper process down. We are having trouble translating it into practice.

It all depends on what you're trying to do. The guide will explain the purpose and functionality of all the different activities, but the ones you'd be using depend on exactly what you're trying to accomplish.
