Question

Email document once scanned

asked on April 18, 2019

Non-IT professional here....

We are trying to do a simple scan for certain documents and have the scanned sheet emailed to certain individuals in our payroll department.  We already have it working but cannot add one of our new employees to the email notification...

It seems simple enough but our new payroll specialist is not getting the emails like our other three workers.

--Why would just adding her email next to the others, such a simple solution, not work?

What am i missing?

Thanks!!

Jumping in here, one method to obtain another data point would be to pull up the Email server config in the Workflow Admin Console and try to send her a test email using the validation portion.  Navigate to to your LF server name > External Objects > Email then pull up the properties for the smtp server.

If that works, then it seems like a workflow or publishing issue.  Are you using a semi colon delimiter?  john.doe@test.com; jane.doe@test.com?  If that doesn't work for the new employee but does for others then I would look to the Email server (account setup issue) or Email client side (connectivity).

Is this done in Workflow? If so, it sounds like you are just missed pressing the Publish Workflow button. It will ask if you want to replace the current workflow, which you would want to use Yes for.

Michael,

Yes, we did hit publish and said yes... She is still not receiving the scanned document and email notification.

Thanks for helping!!

My next steps would be to double check that the email is correct, that the email that Work flow sends email from can send to her, and check the logs for any errors.
