Question

Duplicate fields within a form?

asked on April 3, 2019

So I am trying to create a form to be used in multiple databases. For ease of staff I would like the contact information to be in two locations. Do staff have to enter this information twice or can I create duplicate fields such as in PDFs where it would autofill the second location?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Alanna,

Are these fields in the same Form? You could do a calculation in the field you want the info to be duplicated in and basically tell this field to equal whatever is in the other field.

In my example, I am telling Single Line 2 to have the same data as whatever is entered into Single Line.

Then in my preview, when I enter data into Single Line and click out of that, it automatically updates without having to submit the form.

Hope this helps.

Yes! That was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, my previous creation was all in PDF so without the names I wasn't sure how to do that.
