Question

Laserfiche Forms - Access Rights - Assigning Access Logic?

asked on April 3, 2019

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to get around a pretty labour intensive task im doing at the moment when performing some administrative tasks in LF Forms.

Scenario;

We have 5 users and lets we have say 100 LF Forms in our company.

If I want one of those 5 users to have Access Rights to all 100 of those forms I have to drill down into every one of those forms, through the process diagram and then into the Access Rights to assign that user manually.

BUT performing this task 100 times is really a long and dull task to perform.

Surely there must be a way of performing a more efficient assignment of forms by performing a simple;

Administer User 1 > List of Forms > Select manually from the list of 100 forms OR 'select all' for Access Rights

Using Forms 10.2 FYI.

Thanks

Use groups for security, not just in Laserfiche but in any system administration security task.  Even if the group only contains a single member.

Part of the forms design process is determining what groups are needed.  That way, when you onboard a new employee and make them equal to an existing user they already have all the same forms rights.
