Hi All

I am getting this error using Geo location on Forms and then it suspends the forms process.

I am having this same issue.  But no matter how many times I clear 'Admin' from the Location field, it keeps coming back.  I have tried removing it in both Chrome and IE with no luck.  My process gets suspended every time someone submits a form.

If you delete "Admin" and save, the process should run successfully. It would only break if the process was loaded up again, "Admin" was auto-filled, and the process was saved with "Admin" in there. It would have to be removed and saved to get it back to working.

What version of Forms are you using?

After hearing about this issue, we disabled auto-fill on this field in Forms 10.4.1. A minor upgrade will fix the issue.

I do keep deleting Admin and resaving.  If I open the process in IE, the Location is blank as I want it to be but when I submit the form (from IE), it still gets suspended.  So everything looks fine within IE but it does not process.  If I access it through Chrome, 'Admin' is back.  I don't even try submitting from Chrome again, because I know it will fail.

Can you try putting in a valid geolocation and saving that, then running the process? Or try adding a geolocation field to a form and putting the geolocation variable into the location field. See if you can get the form to save successfully with some random geolocation, otherwise the issue may be something else.

If saving with a random but valid geolocation works, use the variable method above and submit with that variable being blank. That might block "Admin" from coming back, but still save the form with no location data.

I tried both of those suggestions and still no luck.  I have had this  problem with other forms, but after a few attempts at removing 'Admin' from the Location field in those forms, it has always worked.  This one is being very stubborn.

And the error is exactly the same as the one listed above? You may need to contact your VAR and open a support case for troubleshooting. Clearing out the auto-filled input and saving should easily address this issue every time. If it's taking multiple attempts or the issue is coming back, you may have other things going on here.

Oh one more thing to try, is it possible you have attachments and "Admin" is configured for those tabs?

You must be psychic; it just got fixed a few minutes ago.  There is an attachment but I had already tried removing it from that tab as well.  After trying it two more times and rebooting my computer, it did seem like the attachment tab was the problem.  It finally stuck!!!!  :)  Thank you for your perseverance with this problem.   Problem solved.

Hi there,

I upgraded to 10.4 recently & it's still in my test environment.

I got the same error in forms but I'm not using any kind of geolocation. Here's my error:

The provided geolocation format 'admin' is incorrect. [LFF5429-ErrorGeolocationFormat] Details: URL: Error: ErrorGeolocationFormat Date: 4/23/2019 4:31:35 PM (Mountain Standard Time) HTTP Status Code: 400 Business Process ID: 63 Instance ID: 1613 Business Process Name: HR_Performance_Evaluation_Unlimited_Reviews Stack Trace: Caught exception: Laserfiche.Forms.CommonUtils.Exceptions.LFFormsException Message: The provided geolocation format 'admin' is incorrect. [LFF5429-ErrorGeolocationFormat] at Laserfiche.Forms.Routing.SaveToLaserficheService.Execute(Int32 instanceId, IRoutingContext routingContext, RoutingInstanceStatus OriginalStatus) at Laserfiche.Forms.Routing.ServiceTask.Execute(Int32 instanceId, IRoutingContext routingContext)

Any ideas what's causing this?

For this issue, I think the problem is that Chrome (or other browser) auto-filled in your location field with the username and you saved the process. Just go into the STR configuration and clear out the location field. We are looking to disable auto-fill in the 10.4.1 release so your browser can't secretly fill in that field.

August, I'm not sure why you are receiving an error. You may need to contact our support team so we can investigate further.

I have just come across this issue. Can you clarify what STR Configuration is?

Mark,

The STR he is referring to is the Store to Repository activity on the Forms diagram. Chrome has a tendency to auto-populate the location field with the user name of the Admin. If you clear that out and save the process you should not get the geo location error generated by forms.

Thanks!

Hi. I got it fixed after emptying the field "Location" on the Save to Repository Service Task:
