Laserfiche Mobile SSL Error

asked on April 2, 2019 Show version history

I have installed the Laserfiche Mobile Server on our internal development server and followed directions for setting SSL.

I have installed the Laserfiche APP on an iPAD but when I try to connect I receive an

SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made.

I have only followed the basic instruction provided in the Admin guide.

This is the first time we are setting this up in our environment so any help is appreciated.

BTW, when I try to connect to the repository from my iPhones, I get a timeout error.

Also, I have not put in the DMZ, unless it is needed for 10.3.1

Because this is a POC, I have installed the Mobile App Server on our Dev server that contains all of our LS Software including Server, Forms, WebAccess, Federated Search, so please let me know if this is not recommended. (Inside the network)

Thanks in advance.

What kind of SSL certificate did you use?  For an internal deployment you would commonly use a certificate provided by an internal CA and not an external one, and which would not be trusted by machines not on your domain - like your iPad.  I don't know if there's an easy way to add a certificate to the iPad's trusted root store other than MDM.

Hi Brian,

The Certificate is for the Server actually.

However, I now have the iPAD connected to our internal network and now am getting the following error

SOAP security negotiation with 'http://licenseserver.domain.com:5048/LicenseManager/service' for target 'http://licenseserver.domain.com/service' failed. See inner exception for more details.

Any ideas on this?

I would like to get this working internally first so I can move towards setting up external access.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Brian,

I have an additional question.

I have installed the software onto our development server that also contains the Server, Workflow, Forms, Federated Search and the Web Client.

Will this cause any issues when configuring Mobile?

Thanks in advance

Hi Brian,

I have figured out what my issue is.

I had to remove the reference to Forms and the Directory Server STS URL because we don't have SSO (SAML) setup right now.

So my plan is to get this into place and then see about configuring Mobile in the DMZ for access outside our network.

Thanks,
