Question

Multiple configurations for Web Access

asked on April 1, 2019

I have a customer that needs to have Web Access configured to prompt for Laserfiche credentials and another group of users needs to login using Windows Authentication.  When I try to set up a second instance it says the repository is already defined.  How can I set this up? I have version 10.3 (10.3.1.51) of the web client and 10.3.0.242 of the Laserfiche repository access installed. Thanks

While this doesn't address your question fully, I wanted to note that you can log in as a Windows user if you have "Prompt for Laserfiche Credentials selected"; the setting for "prompt for Windows Credentials" is to pre-set the domain for the end users so that they only have to type their username, instead of DOMAIN\username.

Hi Sandy,

You have the option of creating Custom Login Page, this option is interesting It can be customized to match the look and feel of their specific organization, it can hide specific items (e.g., the repository name), and display additional instructions or information about how to log in, etc. Depending on this, you can present options for authentication, and pass authentication values using HTTP Post.

I can't think of a way around this without having another server hosting web access.

Yes, you would need to have two instances of Web Access. The problem is that if even if you could do it with the same site, it would have no way to know whether or not to prompt for credentials.
